where her bed was	,	and	he would place it	.	Then	he would say	:

“	Kiísiraruuwaa’	iriiraruúci	.	"	Cápaat
“	Bring the things	where they are lying	.	"	The woman

hiruwitarúšitⁿ		,	ihi		pásakit^u	.
hiru	witaarúcit	,	ihi	,	pásakiitu’	.
then	she would pick it up	,	uh	,	the inner bark of cottonwood	.

Hirútahwaku			“	Hiruširutǝskawíšukst^a			.
Hiru	taahwáku’		“	Hiru	ciru	taskawícaksta	.
Then	he would say	:	“	There	yet	you are going to pound it	.

Širutápaharus		,	širútǝtpahist^a		"	.	A	šápatⁿ
Ciru	tápaharus		ciru	tatpaáhista	.	"	A	cápaat
Yet	pemmican		yet	I am going to eat	.	"	And	the women

ruwitakawišákusititⁿ	.	Akararǝ́takǝtⁿ	,	rakitutkatáwuhu
ruuwitaahkawicákusitit	.	Akaraarátaakat		rakitutkatáwuhu
then she began pounding it	.	In the earth lodge		where the mortar was set

	then	she filled it	the inner bark of cottonwood	.

Awitahkawišákušapatⁿ			.	Hírahiritⁿ		tapahárus	,

And	she would pound it	the woman	.	And	finally	pemmican

wítahwa	;	rahkukawíšaku	,	hínahiritⁿ
wítaahwa	.	Raahkukawícaku	,	hi	raahiírit
it would become	.	When she was pounding it	,	and	finally

wítahwa	tapahárus	.	Awitaráhkawǝtⁿ		hi
wítaahwa	tápaharus	.	A	witaaraáhkawat	hi
it would become	pemmican	.	And	she would take it out	and

witáhkaruš^u	rǝkárakⁱ	.
witaáhkaruucu	rakáraaki	.
she would put it in it	a wooden bowl	.

Hihawasístu			ruwitarahkáwaritⁿ	,	hihawaruwitarúši^a
Hi	hawá	sístu	ruuwitaaraahkáwarit	,	hi	hawá	witaruúci’a
And	also	again	then she put it in it	,	and	also	she would do it	:

nahíritⁿ	,	rakarapáhǝtⁿ	,	aruwitáhkitak^u		,	tãpahárus	.
raahiírit	,	rakaraapáhat		a	ruuwitaáhkitaku		tápaharus	.
finally	,	the red bowl		and	then it would be full		pemmican	.

Tákǝskⁱ	hiwihirúwitarⁱtⁿ			,	hiwitarúksitⁿ		rákiškus^u	,
Taákaski	hi	wihiru	witaárit	,	hi	witaáruksit	raakíckuusu’
Dried meat	and	now	it would be	,	and	it would be	bark

rǝtápahtu	.	Árawitihwa^a		,	wirahkukawáhaku
rattápahtu’	.	A	raawitíhwa’a		wiraahkukawaáhaku
fine pieces of bark	.	And	they just ate it		after she passed it around

šápatⁿ	,	šapã́ra^u	.	Nahkúrahkawⁱ	hiwitíhwa^a
cápaat	,	capaára’u	.	Raahkúraahkaawi	hi	witíhwa’a
the woman	,	his wife	.	Where they were inside	and	they ate it

tapaharuskišáhit^u		,	arawitariwíruutⁿ		.
tápahaarus	kiicáhihtu’	,	a	raawitaariwíruu’ut	.
pemmican	grease	,	and	it would just be lumpy	.

Náw^a	,	hiruwitarúsi^a		ráhkuwaka^a	,	“
Ráwa	,	hiru	witaruúci’a	raáhkuwaaka		“
Now	,	then	he would do it	when he said	:	“

Kiraisuhakirášakus	"	.
Kíra isuuhaakirácakus	.	"
Perhaps you'll put a kettle of water over the fire	.	"

Hiruwitirušikirášakus		.	Kuštáhkata	rahkúrihur^u
Hiru	witiirucikirácakus	,	kuctáhkata	raahkúrihuuru
Then	they would hang the kettle of water up	,	a brass kettle	a big one
